Facebook giving away 200,000 sets of Timeline business cards for free

Facebook is giving away Timeline personal cards for a limited time while supplies last in an effort to help users promote their profiles and a new partnership with moo.com. 200,000 sets of 50 cards each (5,000 per day) are being handed out absolutely free of charge on a first come, first serve basis.
Here’s how you can get a set of Timeline cards for yourself.
1. Visit your Facebook Timeline profile.2. Click the About link under the basic personal information section.3. Navigate to the Contact Info section and mouse over the small business card icon.4. You should see a message from Facebook that says, “We’ve partnered with moo.com to make it easy to print your very own set of custom business cards. The first box of cards is on us.”5. Click Print Cards to proceed.
With only 200,000 free sets of cards available, it’ll likely be pretty tough to get a free set considering the site has over 800,000 million registered members. As such, you can optionally visit moo.com and order a set for yourself right away. Prices start at $15 for 50 cards including delivery.
The customizable Timeline cards may seem like a silly idea on first thought but print cards are a great way to network with new contacts, especially if you have a business of your own that you are looking to promote in a new and creative way. Thinking outside of the box is one of the best ways to garner attention for yourself.

Israel likens hacker to terrorist for exposing 400,000 credit cards

Last week, a hacker known as "0xOmar" (also being mistakenly reported as OxOmar by most news media) took credit for publishing an illicit bounty of 400,000 credit card numbers, a claim yet to be fully corroborated by news agencies. On Friday, Israeli officials condemned the action as a form of terrorism and made a provocative claim that no hostile actor is immune to the country's potential retaliation.

Such cyber-attacks are "a breach of sovereignty comparable to a terrorist operation, and must be treated as such," Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said in a speech, adding that Israel had not yet ruled out the possibility that the hacking had been carried out by a group "more organized and sophisticated ... than a lone youth."
"Israel has active capabilities for striking at those who are trying to harm it, and no agency or hacker will be immune from retaliatory action," he said, without elaborating.The hacker claims 400,000 stolen credit card numbers were leaked but accuses the "Jewish lobby" ofdown-playing the total. The individual also claims he has over one million social security numbers in his possession, according to this public statement hosted by Pastebay.com. 
Reports have been mixed as different news agencies continue to report conflicting numbers about how many stolen credit card numbers were released. However, journalists have been reporting figures mostly around 15,000. The confusion may center around the fact that the overwhelming majority of the 400,000 numbers are said to be invalid card numbers.
Since the hacker's attack on "Zionist" credit cards, a number of journalistic outfits have conducted email-based interviews with 0xOmar. One blogger claims he has identified the hacker, a supposed 19 year-old citizen of the United Arab Emirates who currently lives in Mexico.
0xOmar, him or herself, claims to be a member of both Anonymous and an Israeli-based hacking group "Wahhabi".
Reuter's noted there does not appear to be any dialogue between the Israeli and Mexican governments as of yet, but Israel's strong rhetoric suggests they will be taking the matter very seriously.
The Bank of Israel says the financial institute will unconditionally protect all cardholders that had their credit card information stolen, in accordance with law. The Banking Supervision Department recommends cardholders look at their monthly statement carefully and report any unauthorized transactions.

Apple officially celebrating 100,000 iPad app landmark

Apple is officially celebrating its 100,000th iPad app with a mailing out to its massive user base to celebrate the landmark.

The 100,000 mark has been claimed by third parties in the past, but Apple is now toting the figure to its users.

"iPad 2; it does everything like nothing else," reads Apple's email. "With iPad 2 and over 100,000 apps made for it, you can do what you love in ways you never imagined."

Smash hit

The iPad 2 has certainly been a smash hit for the company since being shown off on stage by Steve Jobs in March.

With a host of Android tablets now attempting to wrest market share from Apple, and the tablet friendly Windows 8 on the horizon, the competition is certinaly hotting up.

But the iPad now has a big base of specially designed apps which will remain a key factor in consumers' buying decisions.

It's also worth pointing out that this isn't exactly the Apple announcement we were hoping for.

Hasselblad's 200MP camera will set you back €32,000 plus tax

Hasselblad has released the H4D-200MS, a 200 megapixel beast that will set you back a whopping €32,000 ($45,000) plus tax. First announced at Photokina in September 2010, the camera builds on the H4D-50MS platform to create 200 megapixel files.

In fact, H4D-50MS owners have the option of upgrading their camera for €7,000 ($10,000) plus tax by sending it to the factory in Copenhagen, Denmark. While the camera is being converted, the service team will make sure that the firmware and hardware is properly upgraded and updated.

Hasselblad has been improving its multi-shot technology since 2000. In 2008, the company announced the first integrated multi-shot camera, the H3DII-39MS, which was quickly followed by the H4D-50MS. As a further development of the H4D-50MS technology, the H4D-200MS utilizes Hasselblad's patented piezo frame module, which now captures six shots before combining them into a 200 megapixel file.

The H4D-200MS includes all the functionality of the H4D-50 and H4D-50MS (True Focus, Ultra Focus, digital lens correction, and so on) plus a range of top of the line features that make the H4D such an outstanding camera system. It also provides three capture modes:

• Normal single-shot capture for 50MP resolution images of live subjects
• Four-shot, 50MP Multi-Shot capture for high detail images of still subjects
• Six-shot, 200MP Multi-Shot capture for the ultimate in still subject capture

Designed for studio photographers whose work requires the ultimate in resolution, extremely fine details, and exact color information, the H4D-200MS is ideal for capturing images of stationary items such as cars, jewelry, artwork, and other high end products where there is no room for compromise in image quality. Hasselblad insists that the H4D-200MS is not just a single-use specialty camera.

"There are times when you want to get extremely close," Hasselblad explains. "Times when you want to get extremely large. Times when you want the absolute highest detail possible. Times when even the largest standard resolutions do not suffice. And that's where the Hasselblad H4D-200MS comes in."
