HTC One S and One X prices, images and specs revealed early by Italian retailer

htc_ville_endeavor_leak

With less than 24 hours to go before the HTC one X and HTC One S are announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, an Italian retailer has released images, specs and pricing for the two Android 4.0 devices. Since we’ve seen so many leaks over the past few months, there are really no surprises, but we do believe that the retailer’s web guy did a poor job of posting the correct specs for the two phones.

The main mistakes we can spot is that both devices are listed with 4.7-inch displays along with 1GHz clock speeds for the dual-core processor in the Ville and quad-core processor in the Endeavor. We’ve made our fair share of mistakes over the years, so we’re willing to let this one slide. Based on what we know, the HTC Ville will feature a 4.3-inch display and both the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor in the Endeavor (One X) and the Qualcomm S4 processor in the Ville (One S) are expected to be clocked at 1.5 GHz.

The price of the HTC One X and HTC One S are listed at €699 and €599. A direct conversion to US dollars gives us a $940 price tag for the HTC One X and a $805 price tag for the HTC One S, but lets not forget that Italy has a 21% VAT already included in the price. Removing VAT, we’re left with slightly more reasonable price tags of $780 and $672 for the two devices.

How much are you willing to pay for one of HTC’s new Android 4.0 handsets?

I’m glad to know they’ll both have a Giroscopio.

Lol, I guess being fluent in Italian doesn’t help when you read a word and then forget to translate it into English.

Reply DavidGuest 5 hours ago Thumb upThumb down 0

Haha, also it’s basically the same word.

Reply 88jamal adam 5 hours ago Thumb upThumb down 0

I don’t see why the One S only has a qHD display especially for a 4.7 in screen. I would have preferred a 4.3 inch screen with 1280×720 display. Just a thought.

Reply 99Nick Gray 5 hours ago Thumb upThumb down 0

That’s one of the mistakes in their spec sheet which I pointed out in the post. The size should be listed at 4.3-inches.

Blutith 3.0 ?? fascinating !

Reply robertGuest 5 hours ago Thumb upThumb down +5

I love my Rezound, but I’ll never buy another HTC product unless they drastically increase the battery life.

Reply 97spazby 5 hours ago Thumb upThumb down 0

We will see how they will price these but I am not holding my breath…

My contract is nearly up I’m planning on getting the ONE X i hate to say it but the galaxy S 3 is starting to look tempting, I think HTC need to update the look of there phones the galaxy s and iPhone 4 series do seem to come easier on the eye, but i do love HTC and all the extras we seem to be getting with these new models, they seem to have greatly improved on everything this year except the phones looks :-(

Reply 2CGuest 5 hours ago Thumb upThumb down +6

SMH…Sense 4.0 looks terrible compared to ICS…IMO.

Reply nebsifGuest 5 hours ago Thumb upThumb down -1

^Agree with u sir.

Does one X really have a mSD slot or its another mistake but that noob? :P

Reply 78Alexander drzfr3shboialex 5 hours ago Thumb upThumb down 0

I want the ONE X, and it supports T-mobile’s bands!! :D

Reply 10AnthonyRyan 5 hours ago Thumb upThumb down +2

If those are true specs why wouldn’t T-Mobile get the One X if its going to have the same bands as the One S. This is just a thought but I hope we get the One X at T-Mobile its been confirmed we’d get the S

Reply 78Alexander drzfr3shboialex 4 hours ago Thumb upThumb down +1

I think that the HTC ONE phone are for t-mobile. Maybe a new brand like the mytouch and g series.

Reply 10AnthonyRyan 4 hours ago Thumb upThumb down 0

that’s what im hoping it is a line like those before but if so i hope tmo doesn’t give those two phones some gay ass names if they do they’d be better off calling them the One X and the One S but im just hoping that the One X comes to us T-Mobile Customers after what I’ve been reading on tmonews how they plan on revamping everything and B2B that would be the best and great way for them to start off there comeback.. that’s just my thoughts though but if not the One X the One S will still be fine for me i need a newer phone i’m getting tired of my sensation its too small now i want 4.7 now lol

wow i kinda seemed a bit winy and needy there on the phone i want and size of the display lol

Reply 10AnthonyRyan 4 hours ago Thumb upThumb down 0

from the official i saw the bands and it doesn’t have tmo’s 2100Mhz bands but it does have the 1900Mhz which it may support for AT&T and from what i read Tmo will support those bands also

Reply One XGuest 4 hours ago Thumb upThumb down +2

One X looks like a great contender

They should’ve crammed bigger battery into that dimension tho. Oh well, I hope S4 Krait will make it up.

Reply 65sunrise 4 hours ago Thumb upThumb down -1

Sorry if this is a double post, didn’t see my last comment show up.

Phandroid has a spec sheer for the One X without expandable Microsd. Are you sure it includes expandable memory?

Reply Alessandro PomponioGuest 4 hours ago Thumb upThumb down 0

I am italian and I saw the webpage while it was on. There were many mistakes and it probably was a mistake (or a joke) by Marcopolo Expert (the reseller).
I suppose specs will be different, I would bet on it.

Looking good! But HTC please increase the battery life :/…

Reply 94kwills88 2 hours ago Thumb upThumb down +3

What is up with those batteries? It should be a requirement for batteries to be 2000mAh at minimum.

Reply SeeKGuest 2 hours ago Thumb upThumb down -2

I don’t see a problem with the batteries. My Desire’s got a 1400mAh battery and these phones, especially the One S due to Krait’s 28nm process, will be a lot more power efficient. There should be plenty of juice.

Having seen AnandTech’s Krait benchmark results and knowing that 4.7″ is too large for me, I’m going with the S. Will probably try Sense 4.0 for a while and then stick Nova Launcher on.

If only the HTC ONE S was 720p HD resolution screen.
