Sony launches 3D projector midrange, In July, a new 3D projector home theater will come on the market: the Sony VPL-HW30ES. An affordable model.
Sony will offer in July new home theater projector 3D 3300 dollars. The Sony VPL-HW30ES is a device whose lines, the look and finish are identical to those of his predecessors (Sony VPL-HW15, HW20 and HW90), but compatible 3D. A scan mode 240 Hz is indeed built, and a method for converting 2D to 3D. But glasses and transmitter synchronization are optional ... Sony advises his 3D active pairs TDG-PC1 (100 dollars) and its transmitter TMR-PC1 (70 dollars).
Known characteristics
On the technical side, the Sony VPL-HW30ES is not very different from the HW20. It displays a brightness of 1300 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 70 000:1 and emits only 22 dB in operation. Easy to install, thanks to its lens shift H / V (+ / -25% horizontal, + / -65% vertical), it is still home and always an auto iris, Real Colour Processing and Video Processing Bravia Engine 2. The setting options are the same as previous models, a few details.
Side connections, nothing new either: two HDMI inputs, VGA input, analog video inputs and one RS232 port. Adjusting the zoom and focus are manual. So little new, except the compatibility 3D, for projector Sony's 3300 dollars.
