The VLC player is a free and open-source media player designed to support DVDs, VCDs, varying formats of audio and video codecs as well as streaming video or tv. If you have a TV capture card installed on your computer, you can set up your VLC player to display streaming TV to view at your convenience.
Follow the below steps to configure the VLC to play the TV streaming:
1). Double-click the VLC Player icon to launch the program.
2). Click "Media," "Open Capture Device." Click "Video," "Refresh List."
3). Click the TV capture card from the menu displayed. Click "Audio," "Refresh List."
4). Select the computer's installed video card from the menu list.
5). Click "Media," "Streaming," "Settings."
6). Place a check mark in the box next to "MMSH" under "Output Methods." Enter "1234" into the "Port" field. Click the button next to "ASF."
7). Locate "Transcoding Options." Place check marks next to "Video Codec" and "Audio Codec."
8). Place a check mark next to "Play Locally." Click "OK" in the "Settings" and "Streaming Media" screens to exit. Click "Play." You will see TV stream on your VLC player.
