The forthcoming Nokia 800 has been given a showcase on our televisions despite not being officially announced yet, with the next-generation Windows Phone 7.5 Mango handset appearing in adverts on ITV.
The Nokia 800 Windows Phone is one of the most eagerly anticipated phones on the market, with the partnership between Nokia and Microsoft a key factor for both companies in their mobile strategies.
There is clearly going to be a big advertising push for the phone, and that has started early on ITV, with teaser trailers being shown in the ad breaks of major shows like X Factor and Downton Abbey.
LoomingWith Nokia World looming, the Nokia 800 is likely to be the star of the show – and a key milestone as Microsoft hopes to capture more of the mobile phone market from rivals Apple and Google's Android platform.
The design will be familiar to those who have looked at the Nokia N9, with the handset likely to be available in a plethora of colours, and it will sport the well-received latest Windows Phone 7.5 Mango offering.
The advert gives us little in the way of extra information – with a matte black phone on a series of light tiles, but we're looking forward to getting to know it a little better when we finally get our hand on it.
