As part of our new iPad coverage, we decided to take a quick snapshot of our Facebook readers, to see who ordered what on pre-order day. Out of 157 voters, 72 ordered the basic WiFi only model, and who could blame them? It’s the cheapest iPad and a no brainer for someone who uses it mostly at home and doesn’t need masses of storage for apps, movies etc. A long way behind in 2nd and 3rd place were the 32GB Wifi Only, and the All-You-Can-Eat 4G iPad with 24 (15.3%) votes, and 23 (14.6%) votes respectively. The mid-range models didn’t prove to be very popular. Combined, the three remaining models amassed only 24% of the vote.
If you didn’t take part in out Facebook poll, we’d still like to hear which model you ordered, or why you didn’t order one. Would you rather get a top-end Android tablet, or do you still have no need for a tablet at all? Comment below or tweet @TiP_Cam.
