Archos Apologizes For G9 ICS Delay, Deploying Within Two Weeks

It was back in December that we first heard Archos claim that its G9 series of tablets would receive the ICS update sometime in Q1 of this year. Here we are in the home stretch of the first Quarter and we have yet to see the devices get the update. Now, apparently Archos wants to apologize for the delay and is ready to put a more exact timeline on the update. They recently took to their Facebook page claiming “they fully anticipate deploying the upgrade within the next two weeks,” as I am sure you G9 are are pleased to hear. They also emphasize the importance of delivering a smooth transition to the latest version of the Android OS. At least they are trying to make it a bug-free launch unlike the one ASUS issued for the Transformer Prime.

As soon as we can pin down an exact rollout date, or when we receive word of its arrival, we will let you know.
